چکیده
هدف:
امروزه استئوآرتریت به یکی از بزرگترین مسائل جامعه سالمندان تبدیل شده است که منجر به ناتوانی، مشکلات جسمی، هزینه‌هایی برای خانواده و جامعه می‌شود. لذا پیدا کردن یک روش درمانی که بتواند به این افراد کمک کند و عوارض ناشی از این بیماری را کاهش دهد از اهمیت زیادی برخوردار است بنابراین هدف از این پژوهش تاثیر حرکت درمانی در آب بر فعالیت الکتریکی عضلات چهارسررانی و شدت درد زنان مبتلا به استئوآرتریت زانو  بود.
روش بررسی:
تعداد 30 زن سالمند مبتلا به استئوارتریت زانو به روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند و در دسترس، انتخاب، و به صورت تصادفی ساده به دو گروه تجربی(سن: 4/78±58/73) و کنترل(سن: 5/43±56/93) تقسیم شدند لازم به ذکر است که بین میانگین سن گروه تجربی و کنترل از نظر آماری تفاوت معناداری وجود نداشت (0/963=t، 0/344=p). به گروه تجربی یک دوره حرکت درمانی در آب به مدت20 جلسه با تواتر پنج جلسه درهفته، و هر جلسه 60 - 45 دقیقه انجام شد. قبل و بعد از مداخله، فعالیت الکتریکی عضلات چهارسررانی با استفاده از دستگاه الکترومیوگرافی سطحی biovision ساخت کشور سوئیس و شدت درد با استفاده از مقیاس عینی درد  (Visual analog scale) اندازه‌گیری و ثبت شد. تجزیه تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم افزارspss نسخه 20 و آزمون‌ T student مورد آزمون قرار گرفت.
یافته‌ها:
نتایج تحقیق نشان داد که حرکت درمانی در آب باعث افزایش معناداری در فعالیت الکتریکی عضلات پهن مایل داخلی (0/2817=p)، پهن خارجی (0/2681=p) و راست رانی (0/831=p) نشد اما باعث افزایش میانگین فعالیت الکتریکی این عضلات شد. همچنین نتایج نشان داد که این تمرینات باعث کاهش شدت درد در بیماران شده است (0/001=p).
نتیجه‌گیری:
حرکت درمانی در آب بر فعالیت الکتریکی عضلات چهار سر رانی تاثیری ندارد. ولی می‌توان این روش درمانی را به عنوان روشی مؤثر برای کاهش شدت درد  بیماران مبتلا به استئوآرتریت زانو تجویز نمود.
